As crazy as it sounds, that is the Republican meme as of today. Yesterday, they misread (or misrepresented) the CBO report showing that Obamacare would decrease the labor supply (that is, people seeking work) by 2.5 million. They claimed that meant that Obamacare would cut the number of jobs (that is, the labor demand) by 2.5 million. This was either financially illiterate or politically dishonest. As usual, Michael Hiltzik of The Los Angeles Times unraveled this canard.
A day passed, and Republicans could no longer get away with their balderdash. So when forced to make lemons out of lemonade (2.5 Americans opting out of the labor force to start businesses, raise families, or retire early), they called Americans lazy. Again, Hiltzik was there to unpants them.
